If you already celebrate Advent — or have thought about beginning the tradition — I wanted to share two things that have made this season especially meaningful for me.
Advent is a time of waiting and preparation — a quiet invitation to slow down, reflect, and make room for hope as we approach Christmas.
Each year, I read The Greatest Gift by Ann Voskamp — a beautifully written daily devotional that walks through the lineage of Jesus with such tenderness and depth. I’ve been reading it since it was first released, and it’s become one of my favorite rhythms of the season.

Last year, I added the Cradle to Cross Wreath to our home — a handcrafted wooden wreath that counts down the days before Christmas. Pairing it with Ann’s book has made Advent feel even more intentional and grounded in meaning. There are additional pieces included with this wreath that allow you to use it during Lent season as well.

If you’ve been wanting to slow the season of hurry, these two pieces are a lovely place to begin. I would recommend ordering the wreath ASAP because they take several weeks to make and ship out.
