Blue Tile Moments: Fresh Looks We’re Loving Right Now

Lately, we’ve been seeing a big wave of blue — and not just in paint swatches or upholstery. Clients are asking for it in bolder, more permanent ways, especially in tile. Whether it’s a soft powdery hue, a rich navy, or a vibrant cobalt, blue tile is having a major moment — and we’re here for it.

We’ve pulled together a few of our favorite blue tile styles. From timeless classics to playful patterns, here’s a little inspiration for mixing things up with blue:

1. Handcrafted Blues
There’s something so special about a hand-glazed tile in shades of blue. The texture, the slight variation, the way it catches the light — it all adds up to a one-of-a-kind look. These work beautifully in kitchens, laundry rooms, or even a bold bathroom statement wall. Via our trip to Jean Stoffer’s Home

2. Blue in Unexpected Places
We’ve seen a lot of requests for adding blue to spaces that don’t typically get all the attention — think mudrooms, shower floors, or bar backsplashes. A deep navy penny tile or a playful sky blue hex can add just enough personality without overwhelming the space. Via: Floor and Decor

3. Mixing Tones
If you’re nervous about going all in on blue, consider pairing it with neutral tiles or warmer tones. Think soft blue zellige paired with creamy off-white, or a patterned tile that brings in blues, taupes, and terracottas for a layered and intentional look. Via: Edward Martin

4. Pattern Play
Blue patterned tiles — especially Moroccan-inspired designs or graphic cement looks — are perfect for floors or backsplashes that need a little punch. They can work traditional or modern depending on the layout and surrounding finishes. We love this look via: Tile Club

We love that blue tile can feel both timeless and on-trend. It’s a versatile color that plays well in all styles — coastal, classic, modern, even rustic. And the best part? It adds a little depth and soul to spaces that are often purely functional.
