The Flat Rock Project is a stunning custom home that beautifully blends classic farmhouse charm with modern functionality. With its inviting board and batten exterior and brick skirt wrap, the home exudes timeless appeal while fitting seamlessly into its surroundings. From the outset, our team worked closely with the homeowners to refine the floor plan, making thoughtful adjustments to enhance both style and function.

One of the significant changes was opening up the laundry room, mudroom, and workspace, creating a more fluid connection between these areas for ease of use. We also repositioned the stairs to achieve better balance on either side of the living room’s central fireplace, flanking it with custom bookcases that offer both beauty and practicality.

This project allowed us to get creative with materials, particularly in the use of tile and lighting, adding layers of texture and character throughout the home. We also had the opportunity to install detailed custom cabinetry, which not only elevates the aesthetics but provides essential storage and functionality in key spaces like the kitchen, bathrooms, and built-ins.

One of the standout features of this home is the meticulous trim work, which adds an extra layer of sophistication to every room. We especially loved incorporating picture frame molding up the entire stairwell, creating a striking visual statement as you move through the home. These thoughtful design elements contribute to a space that feels both elegant and functional.
