The Hog Mountain project reimagines the heart of a 1980s home for modern living. After twelve years in their home, the owners wanted to open their kitchen to the family room and transform an underused pantry and laundry space into a more functional extension of their home.
Our team designed a bright, efficient pantry with custom drawers, hidden cabinetry, and a relocated microwave, making the most of the natural light. We also opened the back wall of the original pantry and laundry area to create a new mudroom directly off the garage—complete with a built-in bench, closed storage, a large sink, and stacked washer and dryer to maximize space.
We loved working with a local builder, Armour Homes, for the construction portion of this project. And as always, Tara Carter Photography captured this space on film to perfection.
At Highland Home Design Co., we believe in providing a seamless, comprehensive design experience from start to finish. The Hog Mountain Project showcases our ability to deliver a fully integrated, turnkey service—one that covers every facet of design, selection, and decor to ensure your dream home is realized down to the finest detail.
