Over the years, we have used Magnolia paint across so many of our projects from kitchen cabinets and vanities to trim, furniture, and full-room walls. It has become one of our go-to paint lines because it consistently delivers that soft, layered look that feels both timeless and lived-in.

What we love most about Magnolia’s palette is its range of color depth. Whether you are drawn to warm neutrals or more vibrant tones, there is always a shade that feels grounded and sophisticated. The colors have a richness that makes every surface feel elevated, even in the simplest spaces.

Another reason we keep coming back to this line is how well it performs. The paint rolls on beautifully and offers great coverage, thanks to the addition of KILZ primer technology built right into the formula. It makes the painting process smoother, faster, and less prone to extra coats, which we always appreciate when we are on a tight project timeline.

You can find Magnolia paints in a variety of finishes including:
Matte for a soft, velvety look that minimizes wall imperfections
Eggshell a versatile choice for most rooms with a subtle sheen
Satin perfect for trim, doors, and cabinetry where durability matters
Semi-Gloss great for high-traffic areas or pieces that need easy cleanup

We buy our Magnolia paint locally at Ace Hardware, but it is available through several retailers. You can also pick up paint chips wherever Magnolia Paint is sold. The sample chips are a nice size and we have found that they are very true to color, which has completely eliminated the need for us to purchase quart-size samples.

We are especially drawn to the Castle Collection from The Castle Renovation and are incredibly excited about the new Mountain House Collection. Both are featured on Magnolia Network and beautifully reflect the depth, detail, and inspiration we love about Joanna Gaines’ design work. These curated collections offer timeless color stories that translate seamlessly into both classic and modern homes.

We have used so many Magnolia colors over the years, and each one brings a different mood and personality to a space. Some of our favorites include Anatolian, Coffee Nook, Drawing Room, Ella Rose, Moody Fig, True White, Rainy Days, Shiplap, Stepping Stool, Sunday Stroll, Texas Storm, Well Watered, and Yarn. While we do not have photos of every color we have used, the projects we have shared really show how beautifully these shades come to life in different settings.
