The Meadow Lake Project

The Meadow Lake dining room transformation brought warmth, character, and timeless style to a home that was purchased by our clients and built about 10–15 years ago. While the house had a solid foundation, the dining room felt unfinished and lacked personality. Our goal was to create a space that felt truly like home—comfortable for daily family dinners yet elevated enough for entertaining.

We began by layering softness and texture to balance the room’s existing architectural details. Custom blue linen draperies added color and warmth, while plantation shutters brought in a classic touch and filtered natural light beautifully. A new chandelier introduced the perfect focal point—bright, elegant, and welcoming.

To ground the design, we incorporated a neutral area rug that defines the space and adds cozy texture underfoot. A light wood dining table and buffet contrast gently with the darker wood floors, striking a balance that feels fresh but connected to the rest of the home. Mixing tones and textures gave the room depth without feeling heavy or overly formal.

The final design features a large rectangular table framed by upholstered end chairs and benches, making it ideal for both family dinners and gatherings with friends. The result is a dining room that feels timeless, inviting, and completely personal—a space that reflects the family’s story and style.
