This Skyland kitchen renovation beautifully reimagined a dark, dated space into a bright, timeless heart of the home, all within the constraints of an existing footprint. Working with the challenge of fixed exterior walls, we focused on maximizing function, light, and aesthetic appeal without altering the layout. 

Our client’s vision of a classic kitchen centered around elegant blue cabinetry and light countertops became the foundation for the design. We elevated the space with thoughtful details—from replacing the dated ceiling fan with coordinated pendant lighting and introducing a larger range with a custom vent hood and pot filler… to swapping out French doors for a sleek, center-opening sliding door that enhances flow and connectivity to the dining area. 

Functionality was a priority throughout. We extended the peninsula to comfortably seat all four family members, enhancing daily use and family interaction. A once-basic closet was transformed into a custom built-in pantry with sliding pull-outs on one side and a coat and backpack closet on the other—both concealed behind matching cabinetry for a seamless look. 

New window replacement brought in more natural light and framed a refreshing view of the backyard, while fresh finishes—paint, trim, and cabinetry-matched back door—unified the space with a crisp, cohesive palette. The result is a kitchen that feels brighter, more functional, and absolutely timeless.
