We are so excited to finally reveal our Flat Rock Project to you. This home belongs to some of personal friends of ours, and it was special to come alongside of them as they built their forever home.
This house plan is one of my very favorites. It is perfect for large families and busy households. It features a mudroom/laundry room, prep kitchen, walk in pantry (with garage access), an open concept kitchen with views into living room, an office space, master on main, and plenty of bedrooms and room for the kids on the second floor. We tweaked a few things in this plan to accommodate this families needs but all around the plan is excellent.
This side entry door, or as we like to call it, “friends door” opens up to a great laundry room and mudroom space. The homeowner says this is the door they use most in the home.
Check out the views of this laundry room/mudroom. We added a desk, five locker sets, a fun tile floor, some textured light fixtures, and a pop of color. Who would not love doing laundry here?!
Just off this space is the Prep Kitchen. A great space for making school lunches or a quick snack and beverage stop. We designed drawers for snacks, water bottles, lunch boxes, etc. And added in an ice machine and a small drink fridge for convenience.
Right behind the prep kitchen is a full kitchen, complete with 10 foot island, and TONS of storage. To say we covered it all in this kitchen is an understatement. Kudos to our cabinet maker, he made these dreams come to life.
And probably what I love most in this kitchen are these pendants. We have been waiting for the right project to see these installed. They are grand in size, neutral in color, and don’t take away from all of the design elements this kitchen has to offer.
The kitchen opens up to the living room complete with a stone wood burning fireplace and dark painted bookcases flanking each side. We can’t get over how good this turned out.
We had the best time picking out tile for this home. The clients were open to so many fun patterns and styles. We can’t wait to hear your favorites.
Downstairs full bath for guests. We always love a black and white combo. And of course a zero entry shower with frameless shower glass is a fan favorite.
This bathroom for two growing boys, we pitched it to the clients, and they loved it. From the tile, to the vintage style sinks, to the farmhouse tilt mirrors, we just can’t get enough.
And last but not least, let us leave you with what we think is the prettiest primary bathroom in Watkinsville, Georgia.
We hope you loved this tour of our Flat Rock Project. It is always a JOY to see visions come to life. We are thrilled for this family and look forward to a lifetime of memories they will create in this home.
