I gave my newsletter subscribers a chance to ask any design question they wanted of me. One of the questions that came back was, “Are painted cabinets going out of style?” This subscriber says she has dark cabinets and dark floors.

If you keep up with Instagram or Pinterest you see an ever rising push towards wood cabinetry. Most are light to medium shades of brown. The over all aesthetic is neutral, clean, cozy and inviting. Our Mountain Project, finishing up early Summer, encompases this style beautifully.

I have clients building new homes and renovating homes who are choosing to go with painted cabinets. I for one think painted cabinets are forever in style. I’ve rounded up some of my favorite kitchens with painted cabinets.
