Last December a few local investors contacted us about helping them design and give direction to the renovation of a commercial office space for their upcoming private golf simulation club.
We jumped at the opportunity to help design this space in one of our local communities.
The idea was birthed from a successful golf simulation club in the Buckhead area of Atlanta. They shot the idea to us and gave us total freedom to create this space.
Here is what it looked like the very first time we saw it.
Honestly the thought of blacking out those windows and covering them up with 2 golf simulators, made us want to cringe at first. I mean how beautiful is all of that natural light?!
For this space, we wanted a very warm, cozy, space with wood elements and leather. We started by painting the walls, trim and ceiling Iron Ore by Sherwin Williams.
This is a favorite color of ours in design. Extending this color to the trim just helped to give it a true golf club vibe. Thankful owners who trusted us with this vision and said yes!
We added in a wall between the previous kitchen and bathroom to define the spaces.
We used the existing cabinets for the bases and added in more of the same style and color for the new 10 foot island. We paired white granite countertops with the existing cabinets and dark walls to help bring in some light to the space.
We stained 8 foot 2 inch pine boards for open shelving along the back wall and secured them to the wall with black modern shelving brackets.
The choice to place open shelving along the back wall of the bar area was to bring in some of the design story as well as create a space that felt warm and inviting.
You will notice a reframed picture of “Amen Corner” at Augusta National, a basket full of golf balls, and a vintage amplifier.
We sprinkled in our favorite shelf styling items: green plants, books, and containers.
We created a small seating space where people can come in, put up their feet and watch a little TV.
The round anchoring coffee table is also a great place to put down your beverage or clear it off for a game of cards. We really wanted this space to be multi-functional.
The club houses two golf simulator bays. We gave each bay 2 comfy seats and an end table.
Another great place to sit back, relax and watch your buddies try their hand at Pebble Beach, Torrey Pines, etc.
We completed this project in less than 4 months and helped the owners welcome in their members, friends and family for the grand opening on Master’s Weekend.
Every project we get to be a part of stretches us to try new things, introduce new elements and gain our clients complete trust as we work hard to bring them our very best!
